Stop and think a minute!

Are you a techie? What’s the latest gadget now? I’ve got to buy that! Does that sound familiar? Well there’s nothing wrong with that, I suppose. But keeping our eyes simple is much better, we won’t get frustrated if weeks later there’s another gadget that’s even cooler, and you wished you could have waited a little longer.

Earlier, I was surfing the web and I came across a site where new and even used gadgets were sold and I clicked another site. It showed a picture of a malnourished child sitting in the corner of a street. He looked so pail, he wasn’t wearing any clothes. In the background I saw other children sharing a small plastic wrapper… they’re sniffing it. It hit me! While the world’s technology is developing shouldn’t the quality of our lives develop also? Instead, as time goes by qualities of lives are deteriorating. I can’t say that it’s because of technology. Well technology can help make our lives more comfortable and easier. But it’s the misuse of technology that helps degrade our morality. Don’t you agree?

Stop and think for a minute! What do people consider now as entertainment? Does it promote modesty? Why would parents often compare the kids during their days and with the kids now? Can you imagine what the kids of tomorrow will be like?
